AGE OF PRODUCTS-WHEN TO KEEP WHEN TO THROW!!
Keeping products past the use by date will not only get you unsatisfactory results from those products but it can also be unhealthy as well. Particularly eye products that can pass on bacteria and cause nasties like conjunctivitis and infection, and skincare, foundation and concealer can pass bacteria onto the skin...here is a guide to help you get tough on your makeup drawer and skincare cabinet....(please note, when using a pencil eyeliner, sharpen a little each time to keep your eyes healthy, and liquid eyeliner has a 3-6 month shelf life similar to mascara)

There is alot of talk about detoxing and how great it is for your body, inside and out. However, getting too carried away with it all just isnt the answer! Here is a sensible guide (summary) by Carla Oates at www.professionalbeauty.com.au that I really enjoyed.
Drink lots of water (pure, filtered water)
Start the day with warm filtered water with fresh lemon juice to cleanse the liver, kickstart metabolism and prepare for the days digestion. Then add 2 litres of pure water to each day for ideal hydration.
Healthy soups filled with veggies is a great detox, plus adding homemade chicken stock, himalayan pink rock salt and soaked brown rice is ideal.
Cabbage, kale and broccoli, rich in sulfur containing compounds are fabulous and loads of salads with protein such as fish, nuts, seeds assists to detoxify properly.
Teas such as dandelion, ginger, mint and coriander all aid digestion and help eliminate toxins from your body.
Drinking your veggies is also a great way to get the nutrients that you need, in a yummy way! A blender with a concentrated nutrient hit will get the best results. Try to stick to veggie smoothies with a little fruit to sweeten such as apples and a little lemon juice for zing. Green vegetables are super alkanising, great source of vitamins, minerals and chlorophyll which helps oxygenate the blood. Try spinach, celery, cucumber, parsley, mint and lemon juice for a detoxing breaky juice.
Live, organic yoghurt and other pre-biotic foods such as onions, greens, artichokes, asparagus, legumes, flaxseed, tomatoes, oats and garlic are all important for encouraging healthy growth of good bacteria in the gut.
Get 8 hours sleep every night
Have regular Epsom Salts baths-rich in detoxifying sulfur and relaxing magnesium
Body brushing or body exfoliation 2-3 times a week to increase circulation and assist with detox and cellulite reduction
and treat your skin to a face mask to decongest the skin and bring in your natural radiance. *Try Sanctum Hydrating Gel Mask or Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Recovery Mask.
